Job summary

BC Hydro is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural E4 engineer in Burnaby, BC. The role is hybrid with a fixed-term contract from November 16, 2026 to November 13, 2027. The candidate should have at least eight years of relevant experience and be eligible for P.Eng or P.Geo registration, with CAD and design software proficiency.

Responsibilities include design, analysis, and field support, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule compliance across BC Hydro projects and operations.

Qualifications

• A minimum eight years of Civil/Structural engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of CAD and industry design/analysis software.
• Good English communication skills, written and spoken.
• Experience supporting site visits and field engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop safe engineering designs for BC Hydro projects and operations.
• Analyze and resolve design problems for medium complexity tasks.
• Assist management with cost estimates, schedules, and reporting.
• Provide guidance to other engineers to develop future capability.
• Contribute to engineering standards and technical decisions.
