Job summary

Arise Virtual Solutions in Dorval, QC, is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, cash flow management, and compliance. This role delivers timely financial information to senior management and strengthens financial discipline and operational performance.

You will lead close processes, supervise a small accounting team, coordinate audits, improve ERP usage, and support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in accounting or related field.
5+ years in controller/manager role with accounting responsibility.
Experience with financial reporting and tax compliance.
Experience with ERP and Excel.

Responsibilities

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Perform month-end close processes and reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and KPI analyses.
Maintain internal controls and accounting policies to protect assets and reduce risks.
Lead budgeting, cash-flow planning, and financial analysis for strategic decisions.
Coordinate tax returns and respond to government requests.
Coordinate year-end audit and liaise with auditors.
Supervise and develop accounting staff to meet deadlines.
Support ERP/accounting system improvements and integrations.
Conduct special financial analyses and projects for senior management.
