Job summary

Sun Life Financial is seeking an AV Technician to support live in-person, virtual, and hybrid corporate meetings and events from our Toronto HQ, with occasional remote support. You will manage audio, video, lighting, and staging, ensuring high-quality delivery across platforms and venues.

You will collaborate with the Producing, Multimedia and Operations teams to implement AV solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth event execution in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of technical expertise in a corporate event environment.
• Experience leading partners, suppliers and teams to deliver high quality work.
• Proficient with media, platforms and venues used for live/virtual events.
• Knowledge of AV and broadcast systems and ability to learn new production technologies.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on planning with business partners to recommend virtual platforms, AV and staging solutions.
• Operate key virtual event platforms, broadcast and video equipment and integrations.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and adapt to late-breaking customer needs.
• Contribute to event reporting, equipment and inventory management.
• Follow policy and best practices for pre, during and post-events.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase efficiency while delivering quality results.
