Job summary

Nelnet Canada seeks an Application Support Analyst to provide end-to-end production support for .NET/C# based Web/Desktop applications. The role prioritizes stability, incident resolution, and continuous service improvement through collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.

The position requires 3+ years in a similar role, ITIL expertise, and experience with ServiceNow/JIRA, SQL, and control-m related tooling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Application/Production Support or similar technical role.
• Strong hands-on ITIL Service Operations experience (Incident, Problem, Change).
• Experience with ServiceNow and/or JIRA (service management).
• Minimum 2 years supporting .NET/C# applications; analyze code-level issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support during business hours with after-hours on-call rotation.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve incidents and requests with stakeholders and IT teams.
• Manage incidents, service requests, problems, and changes per ITIL practices.
• Run data validation using SQL queries in SSMS to ensure data integrity.
• Troubleshoot Control-M jobs, SSIS packages, file transfers, and batch processes.
• Analyze logs and metrics to identify issues in production and non-production environments.
• Create and maintain knowledge articles, runbooks, and operational docs.
• Assist with deployments and changes via change management activities.
• Contribute to process improvements and automation efforts.
• Perform additional duties and project work as needed.
