Job summary

Black & McDonald Limited in Prince Albert, SK is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our Service Division. You will work on RTUs and HVAC systems, perform troubleshooting, and ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have HVAC certification, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. A clean driver's license and good communication are required; training and career development are supported.

Qualifications

• Previous HVAC/refrigeration or RTU technician experience.
• HVAC certification is required.
• Braising and soldering skills.
• Knowledge of local building codes.
• Able to work outdoors in extreme weather.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work on RTUs and HVAC systems.
• Inspect system components including compressors, condensers, evaporators, fan motors, fans and expansion valves.
• Perform system checks, troubleshooting and refrigerant recovery.
• Perform electrical and gas system troubleshooting.
• Maintain service logs and records.
• Research and resolve complex system problems.
• Complete assigned paperwork and forms.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure PPE use and safety regulations.
