Job summary

Black & McDonald Limited seeks an HVAC/R Service Technician in Charlottetown, PE to maintain, troubleshoot, upgrade and repair HVAC/R and gas equipment across a portfolio of buildings. The role requires 4+ years of HVAC/R service experience, Red Seal refrigeration and air conditioning certification, and ability to read multiple schematics.

Candidates should have a valid Class 5 driver’s license, knowledge of digital work orders, and the ability to obtain required security clearances.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in an HVAC/R service and maintenance position.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Reliability Security Clearance and other site clearances.
• Experience using mobile technologies is required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and work from HVAC, mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of electronic, pneumatic, and DDC control systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC/R and gas equipment in accordance with manufacturer and company specifications.
• Complete digital work orders, detailed reports and daily digital time summaries.
• Ensure safe working conditions are enforced in accordance with company policy.
