Job summary

Houle is seeking a Systems Technician to join our Burnaby office, specializing in Schneider's EcoStruxure-based building automation controls for new and renovated facilities. The role includes DDC programming, configuration, troubleshooting, testing and commissioning for HVAC systems, with about 20% travel within BC.

You will read drawings, design systems with the project team, configure and test controls, and lead customer training and project close-out.

Qualifications

• Read engineering drawings and specifications to develop HVAC control system designs.
• Configure, integrate, test, commission and service building automation systems including HVAC integrations.
• Lead customer training, demos and project close out processes.
• Maintain knowledge of and promote Houle services.

Responsibilities

• Read engineering drawings (electrical, mechanical, plumbing IFCs/IFTs) and specs to design HVAC control systems.
• Produce system designs, shop drawings, programming, graphics with project team.
• Configure, test, commission and service building automation systems (HVAC).
• Follow best practices and quality standards; escalate issues to the PM.
• Communicate changes or issues to the project team promptly.
• Troubleshoot systems efficiently and effectively.
• Lead customer training, demos and project close out processes.
• Identify potential business opportunities from client interactions.
