Job summary

Houle Electric Canada in Burnaby, BC is seeking a Systems Technician (Controls) to support building automation projects using Schneider EcoStruxure. You will program, configure, test, and commission DDC systems for new and renovated buildings, while leading customer training and project close-out.

The role requires 3+ years in HVAC controls programming and travel about 20% within BC. Strong English communication and a mechanical/electrical engineering background are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years HVAC controls programming experience.
• Minimum 2 years with Schneider's EcoStruxure platform.
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree/diploma or certification.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with access to a personal vehicle.
• Willing to travel approx. 20% within BC.

Responsibilities

• Read engineering drawings and specifications to develop HVAC control system designs.
• Collaborate with project managers, design team and field staff to produce system designs and shop drawings.
• Configure, test, commission and service building automation systems including HVAC integrations.
• Adhere to best practices and Houle quality standards.
• Communicate changes or site issues to the project team.
• Troubleshoot technical systems efficiently and effectively.
• Lead customer training, demos and project close-out processes.
• Identify potential business opportunities from client interactions.
