Job summary

Rising Edge Group is seeking an Apprentice PSE/Electrician to install and maintain low and high voltage equipment in a substation. You will gain hands-on experience with ground grids, structural steel erection, and the repair and assembly of power system equipment.

This safety-sensitive role requires indentured status in Electrical or PSE trade, familiarity with Alberta Electrical Utility Code, a valid Alberta Class 5 license, and the ability to work long shifts with possible travel and camp

Qualifications

• Indentured into Electrical or PSE trade and eligible to work in Canada.
• Knowledge of Alberta Electrical Utility Code and OH&S rules relevant to PSE/Electrician.
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day substation construction activities.
• Work with high voltage equipment including circuit breakers and transformers.
• Install and document circuits, cables, and connections.
• Perform preventive maintenance and testing on substation equipment.
• Develop work scopes and procedures with Journeyman PSE/Electrician.
• Adhere to safe work practices and complete maintenance reports.
