Job summary

Rising Edge Group is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to support the installation and maintenance of low- and high-voltage equipment in substations. You will gain hands-on experience under a Journeyperson Electrician, including grounding grids, structural steel erection, and power system equipment assembly and repair.

This role requires safety awareness, willingness to travel within British Columbia, and the ability to work long days.

Qualifications

• Registered Electrical Apprentice (Construction or Industrial Electrician) with BC preference.
• Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code and safety regulations.
• Ability to travel and work out of town.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day substation construction activities.
• Work with high voltage equipment including breakers, transformers, switches, and SCADA systems.
• Install and document circuits and power cabling; perform preventive maintenance and testing.
