Job summary

Rising Edge Group in Canada is hiring a Journeyperson Electrician or PSE to maintain, upgrade and install equipment in 13.8kV to 500 kV substations. You will read drawings, plan layouts, inspect systems and ensure code compliance while mentoring apprentices in a senior role.

Candidates should have 5+ years as a PSE/Electrician, at least 2 years in substations, knowledge of the Alberta Electrical Utility Code, and a valid Alberta Class 5 license.

Qualifications

• Valid and recognized journeyperson certificate for PSE or Electrician.
• Minimum of 5 years as a PSE/Electrician with at least 2 years in substations.
• Thorough knowledge of the Alberta Electrical Utility Code and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain high-voltage systems in substations (up to 500 kV).
• Read drawings, blueprints and electrical codes; plan layout of wiring and equipment.
• Lead, mentor and train Electrician Apprentices and PSEs on site.
