PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc. in Richmond, British Columbia, is seeking a Human Resources Student for the BC Region within our Canadian Buildings sector for a 4 or 8 month term starting January 2027.

You will be involved in recruitment, training coordination, career fairs, and confidential HR tasks, supporting day-to-day activities and ensuring accuracy and professionalism across projects. Pay range $20.14–$24.70 per hour; wages are determined based on completed terms, role and location, with

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree or diploma with a Human Resources major.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Able to proactively anticipate needs and follow-up items for the team.
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality required of work assignments.
  • Independent and resourceful in accomplishing day-to-day tasks and assignments.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment activities and coordination of training initiatives.
  • Support planning and execution of career fairs and events.
  • Prepare confidential correspondence, reports, and HR documentation.
  • Assist with daily HR operations and meeting coordination.

Here’s how aHuman Resources Studentfor PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc. within BC Region contributes to our team:

  • Being involved in and exposed to various areas of Human Resources including recruitment, training and professional development and health & wellness
  • Assisting with planning and executing career fairs
  • Assisting with training coordination and facilitates course set-up
  • Supporting the team by preparing for daily events and follow-up actions (e.g. scheduling and coordinating meetings, maintaining action lists and reminders, and meeting/interview preparation)
  • Supporting activities requiring a high degree of confidentiality, attention to detail, and accuracy
  • Composing and preparing confidential correspondence, reports, and other documentation
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • Pursuing a degree or diploma with a Human Resources major

  • Proficiency with various computer programs such as the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Able to proactively anticipate needs and follow-up items for the team
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality required of work assignments
  • Independent and resourceful in accomplishing day-to-day tasks and assignments
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities under tight deadlines, while maintaining a high-degree of accuracy and professionalism

Pay Range: $20.14-$24.70

PCL Student wages are determined individually for each student based on the number of completed school terms, relevant work terms, kind of role and work location.
