Job summary

PCL Solar Constructors Canada Inc. in Oakville, Ontario is seeking a Human Resources Student for our Solar Canada district. You will gain hands-on experience in recruitment, training, and employee well-being while contributing to health & wellness initiatives and confidential HR processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or diploma with a Human Resources major.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Able to anticipate needs and follow up for the team while maintaining confidentiality.
• Independent and resourceful in day-to-day tasks with high accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Be involved in HR areas including recruitment, training and professional development and health & wellness.
• Assist with planning and executing career fairs; assist with training coordination and course setup.
• Support daily events: scheduling meetings, maintaining action lists and reminders, and meeting/interview preparation.
• Support activities requiring confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Compose and prepare confidential correspondence, reports, and other documentation.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Join us as aHuman Resources Studentfor our Solar Canadadistrict, within our Solar sectorfor 4 starting January 2027. Depending on your assigned project as a Human Resources Student, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

• Being involved in and exposed to various areas of Human Resources including recruitment, training and professional development and health & wellness
• Assisting with planning and executing career fairs Assisting with training coordination and facilitates course set-up
• Supporting the team by preparing for daily events and follow-up actions (e.g. scheduling and coordinating meetings, maintaining action lists and reminders, and meeting/interview preparation)
• Supporting activities requiring a high degree of confidentiality, attention to detail, and accuracy
• Composing and preparing confidential correspondence, reports, and other documentation
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or diploma with a Human Resources major
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Proficiency with various computer programs such as the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Able to proactively anticipate needs and follow-up items for the team
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality required of work assignments Independent and resourceful in accomplishing day-to-day tasks and assignments
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities under tight deadlines, while maintaining a high-degree of accuracy and professionalism

The estimated salary range for this role is$19.57- $28.88,based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
