Job summary

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. in the Toronto District is seeking a Human Resources Student for a 4- or 8-month placement starting January 2027.

You will gain hands-on experience across recruitment, training and health & wellness initiatives within our Canadian Buildings Division. The role requires confidentiality, strong communication, and the ability to anticipate team needs while supporting career fairs, training coordination and daily scheduling.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or diploma with a Human Resources major.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to anticipate team needs and follow up.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in work assignments.
• Independent and resourceful in day-to-day tasks.
• Strong initiative and ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

We are seeking a Human Resources Student for our Toronto District, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for 4 month or 8 months starting January 2027.

As a Human Resources Student you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities

• Being involved in and exposed to various areas of Human Resources including recruitment, training and professional development and health & wellness
• Assisting with planning and executing career fairs Assisting with training coordination and facilitates course set-up
• Supporting the team by preparing for daily events and follow-up actions (e.g. scheduling and coordinating meetings, maintaining action lists and reminders, and meeting/interview preparation)
• Supporting activities requiring a high degree of confidentiality, attention to detail, and accuracy
• Composing and preparing confidential correspondence, reports, and other documentation
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or diploma with a Human Resources major
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Proficiency with various computer programs such as the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Able to proactively anticipate needs and follow-up items for the team
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality required of work assignments Independent and resourceful in accomplishing day-to-day tasks and assignments
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities under tight deadlines, while maintaining a high-degree of accuracy and professionalism

The estimated hourly range for this role is $19.57- $28.69, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
