Job summary

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. in Oakville, Ontario, is seeking an Engineering Student for the Solar District. This role runs 4–16 months starting January 2027 and offers real project experience, mentorship and a structured path to full-time roles.

You will assist with design coordination, procurement, PM4+ RFIs/submittals, and dashboards in Power BI while building client relationships and learning through hands-on tasks.

Qualifications

• Interest in solar design and construction projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Excel and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage project design and procurement tasks, including meeting minutes.
• Review RFP docs, drawings, commissioning plan, and electrical studies.
• Support PM4+ based workflows with RFIs and submittals.
• Ensure site O&Ms and warranty tracking for quality and compliance.
• Develop dashboards using Power BI to monitor project progress.

We are seeking anEngineering Student, for our Solar District that is available for4-16 monthsstartingJanuary 2027.

As anEngineeringStudent and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities

• Assisting with coordinating and managing the project design and procurement process which includes taking detailed meeting minutes and following up on open items.
• Assisting with review of RFP documentation, drawings/diagrams, Commissioning plan and electrical studies for key design requirements.
• Facilitating communication and collaboration between all project stakeholders by utilizing PM4+ to send RFls and submittals.
• Ensuring project compliance and quality through site O&Ms and warranty item tracking
• Streamlining project processes by converting excel inspection test plans into PM4+ ITP templates.
• Supporting project success by developing and maintaining Power Bl Synoptics design dashboards for projects.
• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Developing and maintaining strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a solar design function
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in various computer software programs, including AutoCad, word processing, and spreadsheet applications (Excel)
• Familiarity with PM4+ and Power Bl is a plus

The estimated salary range for this role is $21.37- $31.34, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
