Job summary

WB Melback Corporation is seeking an experienced Human Resource Specialist to join the HR Team. The role involves supporting full cycle recruitment, onboarding, and training, ensuring HR processes run smoothly across the organization.

You will manage the employee lifecycle, source candidates, screen resumes, and coordinate onboarding and development. Some travel may be required to support national staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma in HR or related field preferred
• CHRP designation or pursuing it considered an asset
• Experience in a unionized environment preferred
• Construction industry experience considered an asset
• Experience in talent acquisition and full-cycle recruitment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office; experience with Bamboo HR and Indeed preferred
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels

Responsibilities

• Manage the whole employee lifecycle from on-boarding to off-boarding.
• Source and attract candidates using current recruitment tools and strategies.
• Recruitment, hiring, on-boarding, and training of employees.
• Prepare job postings, screen resumes, and interview candidates.
• Maintain and update employee files.
• Manage a high volume of candidates on a national level.
• Maintain confidentiality with sensitive documents and information.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
• Perform other administrative tasks as required.
• Some travel may be required with this position.

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Bamboo HR Software and Indeed preferred.
