Fuze HR Solutions in Mississauga, ON is seeking a hands-on HR & Operations Manager to join a growing, entrepreneurial transportation business on a fully on-site basis.

You will be the primary HR resource supporting staff and ownership across employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, policies and day-to-day people operations. This role suits someone who has worked in a smaller, owner-operated business and enjoys autonomy to improve processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on HR experience.
• Experience in a small to mid-sized, entrepreneurial or owner-operated business.
• Strong employee relations and conflict-resolution skills.
• Working knowledge of Ontario employment standards.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day HR and employee relations.
• Manage performance, coaching, disciplinary matters and terminations.
• Own recruitment, onboarding and offboarding.
• Recruit for dispatch and operational positions.
• Improve HR onboarding processes.
• Maintain HR policies, documentation and employee records.
• Provide guidance on Ontario employment standards.
• Resolve employee and driver concerns confidently.

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 40 Hours/Week

Location: Mississauga, ON (Fully-on Site)

Are you an HR professional who enjoys being close to the business, trusted to make decisions and able to see the impact of your work?

We're looking for a hands‑on HR & Operations Manager to join a growing, entrepreneurial transportation business and become a key partner to its leadership team.

You'll be the primary HR resource supporting staff and ownership across employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, policies and day‑to‑day people operations.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has worked in a smaller, owner‑operated business, enjoys wearing multiple hats and wants the autonomy to improve how things are done.

What You'll Do

• Lead day‑to‑day HR and employee relations
• Manage performance, coaching, disciplinary matters and terminations
• Own recruitment, onboarding and offboarding
• Recruit for dispatch and operational positions
• Improve HR and owner‑operator onboarding processes
• Maintain HR policies, documentation and employee records
• Provide guidance on Ontario employment standards and workplace practices
• Resolve employee and driver concerns confidently and professionally
• Support broader office and operational priorities
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and bring new ideas forward

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of hands‐on HR experience
• Experience in a small to mid‑sized, entrepreneurial or owner‑operated business
• Strong employee relations and conflict‑resolution skills
• Working knowledge of Ontario employment standards
• Confidence handling difficult conversations and strong personalities
• Comfortable making decisions and working independently
• Practical, solutions‐oriented approach to HR
• Strong communication, organization and follow‑through

Experience in transportation, trucking, logistics, warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, construction or another frontline operational environment is a strong asset.
