Employment Network Canada Inc. in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, invites applications for a Senior Human Resources Manager. Reporting to the President, you will lead HR strategy, programs, recruitment, employee relations, policies, and compliance within a growing manufacturing context.

You will collaborate with the management team to drive culture, development, and wellbeing, while implementing best-practice HR solutions and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources preferred.
  • Experience with a growing private-sector employer is a strong asset.
  • Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with HR management programs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and align HR needs with business objectives.
  • Foster employee relations to build a positive, engaged, productive environment.
  • Assess, research, and implement HR strategies and programs across culture, performance, and policies.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate hiring with Division Managers; prepare postings and ads.
  • Prepare offers and assist with SINP/immigration forms; onboard new employees.
  • Develop and administer HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave, and talent management.
  • Maintain records and update company policies in line with directives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, OH&S, and related regulations.

Explore the next step in your leadership career as Human Resources Manager, with our Client, a reputable, growing manufacturing organization located in beautiful Weyburn, Saskatchewan!

Reporting to the President, your HR responsibilities will range from strategic planning to building HR programs, training & development, recruitment, employee relations, policies, and more.

You will take on a meaningful challenge and play a key role alongside a management team committed to innovation, shared values, employee growth, and well-being.

As Human Resources Manager, you will:
  • Plan, direct, and ensure human resource needs align with business objectives. Collaborate with the Management Team by providing ongoing communication, updates, and reports.
  • Foster strong employee relations to build and maintain a positive, engaged and productive work environment. Handle employment-related inquiries from employees, applicants and managers. Maintain and promote the organization’s ethics and values within the workplace. Identify leadership and training opportunities to promote employee development.
  • Assess/research, recommend and implement best-practice HR strategies, programs and practices to create innovation and lead initiatives in areas such as workplace culture, career development, performance management, job descriptions, policies and procedures and health & safety, to name a few.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions. Work closely with Division Managers to identify and understand required skills and competencies; prepare and place career postings and advertisements.
  • Prepare job offers and assist with related SINP and immigration-related forms and procedures as required. Provide onboarding of new employees.
  • Develop, oversee and administer human resource programs including compensation, benefits and leave, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition and morale, etc. Maintain accurate records and electronic files.
  • Recommend, update and implement company policies and procedures in line with management directives and goals.
  • Assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations. Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with and provide advice/counselling in employment laws and regulations, human rights standards, OH&S, etc.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, immigration and employment law.
As the selected candidate, you will bring:

Education: A related Degree/Diploma in Human Resources is preferred. A combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

Experience: Experience with a private-sector employer experiencing growth and new HR challenges/opportunities is a strong asset.

Computer: Strong computer skills, proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook. Familiarity with HR Management programs.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, with flexibility as agreed. On-site position
