Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is seeking an experienced Human Resources leader to partner with management on strategic initiatives and oversee the full HR function.

You will develop and implement policies, ensure Ontario compliance, manage recruitment and onboarding, administer benefits, and promote safe, productive work environments.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years in HR, and strong people leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
• 5+ years' experience in Human Resources.
• Strong knowledge of HR legislation.
• Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees.
• Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the day-to-day HR function, providing leadership and direction to a team of HR professionals.
• Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations, performance management, attendance, disciplinary matters, and workplace issues.
• Oversee full-cycle recruitment and onboarding initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Ontario employment legislation, company policies, and workplace regulations.
• Oversee the employee benefits and total rewards, compensation programs.
• Support workplace health and safety initiatives and work closely with management to promote a safe and compliant work environment.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks.
• Coach and develop the HR team, establishing priorities, providing ongoing support, and ensuring high-quality service to employees and management.
