Job description

Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 per year

Position Overview:

The Human Resources Manager at West Egg Group plays a crucial role in fostering a positive and safe working environment while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This individual will be responsible for implementing HR strategies and policies, with a primary focus on health and safety practices.

Health and Safety Management:

  • Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with department heads to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay current with industry regulations and best practices to ensure the organization’s compliance.

Employee Relations:

  • Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication and addressing employee concerns.

Talent Acquisition and Retention:

  • Oversee the recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Develop strategies for employee retention and career development.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs within the organization and coordinate relevant programs.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

Policy Development and Implementation:

  • Draft, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all employees are aware of and comply with company policies.

Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and issues.

Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Generate HR reports and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or certification in Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • CHRP certification is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
