Rapid City Transportation is seeking a motivated HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team in Pickering, Ontario. This role supports recruitment, onboarding, performance management, policy administration, benefits coordination, and compliance.

You will maintain HRIS records, assist managers with HR inquiries, and contribute to employee engagement and culture-building initiatives in an in-office setting. A 2–5 year generalist background is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Support Recruitment Specialist with full-cycle recruitment activities, including posting jobs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating offers.
  • Assist onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Maintain employee records and HRIS with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist managers and employees with HR-related questions, policies, and procedures.
  • Support employee relations initiatives and help resolve workplace concerns.
  • Coordinate leave management and return to work programs.
  • Assist with performance management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practices.
  • Prepare HR reports, metrics, and documentation as required.
  • Contribute to employee engagement, recognition, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Support training and development programs across the organization.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team.
