Dr. Oetker is a state-of-the-art Pizza Production Facility in London, Ontario. With our Head Quarters in Germany, and operations in over 40 countries around the world, we are an international company with deep family roots dating back to 1891. Our London facility which employees about 300 associates was built in 2014 and showcases modern, highly automated, high volume production lines where we produce Ristorante, Casa di Mama and Giuseppe pizzas under the Dr. Oetker label. Our facility is part of the International Pizza Production Unit (PPU) which, in part, identifies projects and efficiencies for execution at plant level.
In our facility, we start with raw materials such as flour and yeast to make a great pizza crust, topping with sauce and ingredients to make a fantastic, finished pizza and then freezing and packaging the pizzas for retail distribution.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our dynamic HR team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about supporting employees and driving HR excellence. You will work on-site alongside human resources business partners to provide day to day support for plant operations and the human resources team.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator will:
• Respond to employee inquiries and engage with employees on the production floor
• Manage full cycle recruiting for hourly employees including posting jobs, screening resumes, interviews and selection
• Ensure seamless employee onboarding through our HRIS and payroll systems, including ongoing accurate employee data maintenance
• Facilitate orientation for new hires including presenting on company policies and procedures
• Collaborate with the payroll team to ensuring all new employee paperwork and weekly timesheets are completed in a timely and accurate manner
• Support supervisors on timesheet accuracy and payroll coding
• Manage the weekly overtime postings in compliance with the collective agreement
• Build and maintain weekly temporary labor schedules in consultation with the supervisors based on production needs
• Facilitate benefit orientation and manage enrolment process within required timelines
• Support the HRBP's and assist with various HR programs and processes where required including investigations, workplace accommodations and grievances
• Foster strong relationships with cross functional teams to provide timely and relevant HR support
Qualifications:
• Post -secondary education in Business or Administration with a focus on Human Resource or equivalent
• CHRP or working towards it is considered and asset
• Minimum one year experience in a human resources role
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment, food & beverage
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of applicable legislation - ESA, WSIB, Human Rights
• Excellent teamwork and adaptability in a fast paced environment
• Strong professionalism and diplomacy pertaining to all areas of discretion and confidentiality.
• Proficient in Microsoft office
• Experience in a Time & Attendance environment, ADP experience considered an asset
