YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the HR General Supervisor, you will be part of the Human Resources Department. You will work directly with department leaders and employees in the business. You will be accountable for providing professional, tactical, and hands-on operational support to enable the company to manage, develop, and retain employees. You will be a ‘guardian’ of HR practices and organizational culture. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality HR consulting and advisory services to partner with department leaders to strengthen organizational effectiveness and meet business objectives. You will ensure that goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.

  1. Establish and maintain collaborative, credible, trusting partnerships with employees and leaders across departments and the organization, demonstrating the value of HR as a trusted business partner.
  2. Handle escalated performance and productivity issues of complex or sensitive nature, working with internal leaders to resolve them promptly.
  3. Provide proactive HR advice to departments on policies, procedures, and employment legislation. Ensure site practices align with company policies.
  4. Lead or manage process improvements and streamlining of HR practices to expedite results.
  5. Support and manage employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits as required.
  6. Work closely with HR and department leaders on development and performance matters for employees.
  7. Complete workplace investigations effectively and timely, escalating disciplinary recommendations as needed, ensuring proper documentation.
  8. Demonstrate understanding and application of Employment Standards Act and Ontario Labour Relations Act.
  9. Support training and development opportunities for all employees in coordination with the regional Talent Management team.
  10. Participate in annual HR cycles, special projects, and corporate HR initiatives.
  11. Develop and support accurate reporting and record-keeping requirements.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Degree or Diploma in HR Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional or Leader designation is an asset.
  • 5+ years of relevant HR experience in an industrial or mining environment, including employee relations, workplace investigations, organizational culture, disability management, and recruitment.
  • Previous experience within mining is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and ERP (SAP) software.
Your Work Schedule:
  • Schedule: 4 days of work followed by 3 days off, or 5 days of work followed by 2 days off at our Upper Beaver Gold Project in Dobie, ON.
