The Legislative Assembly Office (LAO) provides nonpartisan support to Alberta’s Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs). Human Resource Services (HRS) supports 87 MLAs, their staff, and former members by delivering responsive, expert HR programs and services.
The successful Human Resources Business Partner will be a strategic and operational HR leader who will provide expert guidance across all areas of human resources, aligning programs with organizational goals and culture.
Reporting to the Manager of Human Resource Services, the HRBP works within a collaborative team of HR and payroll professionals to deliver integrated HR services in line with LAO policies, legislation, and public service best practices.

This is a permanent full-time, onsite position in downtown Edmonton, offering employees scenic views of the Legislative Grounds and river valley. Compensation includes a salary of $81,000 – 108,000, 15 days vacation, a defined benefit pension plan, extended health and dental benefits, and a health spending account.
