The Institute for Performance and Learning is seeking a part-time Human Resources Assistant to handle day-to-day HR tasks, data entry, file management, recruitment, onboarding, and enhancing the employee experience. The role reports to the Manager, Human Resources and Payroll and works closely with the HR Coordinator.

Reporting to the Manager and working closely with the HR Coordinator, the Human Resources Assistant provides day-to-day implementation and processing related to HR functions. Responsibilities include but not limited to data entry, electronic and hard copy file management, recruitment, onboarding, employee experience, quality assurance, and general HR administration. The HR Assistant works closely with the HR/Payroll team and provides ongoing communication with hiring supervisors and employees on a regular basis. This position has access to confidential and personal information about BGC staff and requires a high degree of discretion, competence, and confidentiality.
This is a regular part-time position with an option to work 22.5 or 28 hours per week depending on suitable candidates' availability (salary starts at $29,250 or $36,400 respectively). Position includes group benefits at six months, pension after one year, three weeks paid vacation leave in first year, paid sick and personal leave, paid birthday off and up to 5 days statutory holiday substitution days per year to celebrate/recognize religious, cultural, and/or personal days that are important to the employee where those days are not currently recognized as statutory holidays in BC/Canada.
