Human Resources and Training Coordinator

Join us to apply for the Human Resources and Training Coordinator role at Circle K.

Position Overview

We are seeking an HR and Training Generalist to join our Western Canada HR team. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role supports HR operations, including managing departmental workflows, recruitment, onboarding, HRIS maintenance, employee documentation, and benefits administration. Additionally, the role supports training activities such as scheduling online learning, maintaining training reports, and other related duties.

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
  • Maintain and audit HRIS (Workday) data, ensuring accuracy and generating reports.
  • Coordinate with payroll regarding hires, transfers, and terminations.
  • Assist employees and management with benefits and pension inquiries, liaising with carriers.
  • Manage Short-Term and Long-Term Disability claims with insurance carriers.
  • Post job openings, prescreen candidates, and organize interviews.
  • Prepare employment letters and new hire packages.
  • Support HR policy interpretation and labor legislation compliance.
  • Assist with Human Rights investigations and WCB claims processing.
  • Contribute to performance evaluations and employee communications.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Director and perform other duties as needed.
Training
  • Manage training records, schedule sessions, and support training initiatives.
  • Update training materials and manuals to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate online training enrollment via Workday.
  • Develop reports to measure training outcomes.
  • Perform additional duties related to training as required.
Candidate Profile
  • 2-4 years of human resources experience.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or relevant field.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems, preferably Workday.
  • High integrity with the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Adaptable to change and shifting priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
