Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Human Resources, Business Administration, Office Administration, or related post-secondary program is considered an asset.
  • Experience in administrative, office, customer service, or HR support roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating employee files and HR records.
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding activities, including scheduling interviews and preparing onboarding materials.
  • Respond to routine employee and HR-related inquiries or direct questions to the appropriate team member.
  • Assist with data entry and maintaining HR information in internal systems.
  • Support the preparation and distribution of HR communications, forms, and notices.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, training sessions, and other HR activities.
  • Support HR projects and special assignments as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive employee information appropriately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and service-oriented Human Resources Administrator to join our Human Resources team on a part-time basis, working three days per week in office.

The successful candidate will provide administrative and coordination support across a variety of HR functions, helping to ensure that employee records, documentation, communications, and day-to-day HR activities are maintained accurately and efficiently.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student or individual currently pursuing studies in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related program who is interested in gaining practical experience in an HR environment.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating employee files and HR records.
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding activities, including but not limited to scheduling interviews and preparing onboarding materials.

Education:
  • Currently enrolled in a Human Resources, Business Administration, Office Administration, or related post-secondary program is considered an asset.
  • A combination of education, training, and relevant experiences may also be considered.
Experience:
  • Experience in administrative, office, customer service, or HR support role is preferred.
  • Experience working in a professional office environment is an asset.
  • Experience supporting HR activities such as recruitment, onboarding, employee records, scheduling, or data entry is considered an asset.
  • Experience managing confidential information with discretion is an asset.
  • Language – English, Inuktitut and French preferable
