Job summary

Keller Canada seeks a dedicated HSEQ Coordinator to join the Regional Team in Richmond, BC. You will support the HSEQ Manager and help develop, implement, and administer health & safety programs that align with regulatory requirements.

Key duties include implementing corporate safety programs, developing site-specific safety measures, conducting JHA and SWP analyses, performing audits, orientations, incident investigations, and maintaining documentation and risk assessments to improve safety

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OH&S legislation and practices.
• Training design knowledge for individuals and groups.
• Proficient with MS Office and safety documentation.
• Construction safety experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support HSEQ Manager and develop safety programs.
• Coordinate site-specific safety programs.

Job Role:We are currently seeking a HSEQ Coordinator to join our Regional Team in Richmond, BC.

Responsibilities

Role Overview:

Provide support to the HSEQ Manager. Coordinate in the development, implementation and administration of Health & Safety programs and systems that enhance the business and support legislated and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support in the implementation of the Corporate Safety Program
• Assist management and project teams with the implementation of site-specific safety programs
• Assist in the development and management of (JHA) Job Hazard Analysis and (SWP) Safe Work Practices
• Ensure Company’s Health and Safety is in compliance with, or exceeds applicable legislation
• Implement new and/or modified policies, procedures and initiatives to enhance the program
• Conduct routine site visits; inspect workplace facilities to ensure consistency with procedures and legislative requirements; complete site audits
• Conduct orientations for new workers and applicable training
• Assist with the investigation of Health and Safety related issues; implement preventative measures and follow-up to ensure compliance
• Assist in the design and implementation of safety training programs, and employee orientations, both on and off project sites
• Maintain all required documentation and reports, manage Risk Assessments and processes
• Address and mitigate Worker Near Miss, Incidents, and Environmental incidents to analyze, identify and communicate trends and frequency details
• Act as a facilitator of, and resource for, the company’s safety and health committee
• Act as full time, on-site Safety Representative whenever and wherever required

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Minimum 1 - 3 years related Health & Safety experience, preferably in a construction related industry
• NCSO/CSO with COR auditor
• Post-secondary certification (degree, diploma, certificate) in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline (completed or in progress)
• CSRT is an asset
• Valid driver’s licence

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements

• Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety legislation, principles and practices
• Working knowledge of principles and methods for training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral/written)
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Analytical, detail-oriented, flexible, adaptable, team player
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight timelines
• Good judgment and decision-making skills
