Job summary

Keller Foundations Ltd. in Acton, Ontario seeks a Field EIT to support design and field operations on multiple geotechnical projects. You will assist with QA/QC, act as site liaison, and help ensure project quality and schedule adherence.

The role involves on-site work, coordination with management, and travel to jobsites as required. A Civil Engineering degree or technical diploma is preferred, with strong communication skills and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Degree or technical diploma in Civil Engineering, or working towards.
• Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: strong communication and adaptability.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and project planning on site.
• Cost management for field projects.
• Material management and on-site logistics.
• Site liaison with management and field crew.
• QA / QC on projects to meet standards.
• Inspection and testing of materials and workmanship.
• Design development and field engineering on multiple projects.
• Monitoring of drilling and grouting operations.
• Daily logging of work completed.
• Quality control supervision via real-time inspection.
• Majority of working days spent on site at construction projects.

Keller is actively searching for a Field EIT in Acton, ON. Field EITs split their time between design and operations and are responsible for quality assurance and quality control on projects. The Field EIT is also the site liaison for communications with management.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Degree or technical diploma in Civil Engineering, or working towards

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in good standing
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to an ever-changing environment (i.e. policies, procedures, technologies and best practices)

Physical Demands

• Travel to jobsites throughout British Columbia
• Time spent sitting, standing, walking on uneven surfaces
• Work in adverse weather conditions (snow, cold, heat)

Additional Information

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 CAD

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law.
