Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of onboarding programs, prerequisite requirements, schedules, and communications for employees, contractors, and workers.
  • Coordinate training sessions, rooms, equipment, digital access, materials, and vendor support needed to meet the project ramp plan.
  • Review worker credentials and prerequisite evidence; identify missing, expired, unverifiable, or restricted qualifications; and elevate gaps before they affect mobilization or field assignment.
  • Facilitate site-specific orientation.
  • Maintain a role- and risk-based training matrix and coordinate instructors, qualified assessors, subject-matter experts, and external providers.
  • Deliver selected onboarding and HSE programs within your qualifications using methods that support participation, understanding, and retention.
  • Coordinate written competency assessments, practical demonstrations, field evaluations, and authorization steps where required; ensure task-specific competence is verified by a qualified leader or assessor.
  • Maintain complete, timely, accurate, and auditable records for onboarding, training, assessments, qualifications, expiries, restrictions, and supporting evidence.
  • Monitor upcoming expiries and incomplete requirements, issue notifications, coordinate corrective action, and elevate unresolved risk before authorizations lapse.
  • Produce workforce-readiness and training reports covering planned demand, backlogs, no-shows, overdue actions, expiry exposure, completion status, and trends.
  • Evaluate effectiveness using assessments, feedback surveys, field observations, compliance results, and new-worker performance trends; improve workflows, materials, communications, and systems accordingly.
  • Support audits, regulatory or client inquiries, incident investigations, and management reviews by retrieving and explaining relevant records and process controls.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or a related discipline. Candidates with an OHS certificate may be considered with a combination of relevant experience.

  • Ability to learn applicable OH&S, environmental legislation and HSE processes.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve conflicts with craft workers.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve.
