Job summary

PCL Solar Constructors Canada Inc. is seeking an experienced HSE Supervisor to lead health and safety on project sites across Ontario and Saskatchewan. The role requires travel and on-site presence to implement HSE plans, deliver training, and enforce compliance.

You will drive hazard identification, conduct inspections, and develop emergency response and environmental plans while mentoring HSE staff and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in a health and safety role in a related industry; supervisory experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes.
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Strong working knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to adopt new tech.

Responsibilities

• Recognizes, evaluates, and advises on hazard identification.

• Develops and evaluates efficiency of the project emergency response plan, site-specific security requirements and the environmental plan.
• Monitors and audits trade contractor HSE performance.
• Participates in on-site investigative processes and evaluating corrective actions taken.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders.
• Coaches, trains and mentors HSE Coordinators and other employees.

• Conflict resolution skills, with the ability to problem-solve.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop, influence, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
• Strong working knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.

The estimated salary range for this role is $84,000 - $115,000, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
