Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner for a 1-month contract in Markham, Ontario. The role covers talent acquisition, onboarding, development, analytics, and performance management in collaboration with business leaders.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in HR, preferably in manufacturing or unionized settings, with strong SAP SAC and Microsoft Office skills. Opportunities for extension exist; SAP HRIS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of HR experience, ideally in manufacturing, construction, building services or unionized environments.
• Experience as an HRBP or consultative HR role supporting operations/leaders.
• Strong experience in recruitment/talent acquisition across roles and levels.
• Proficiency with SAP SAC for reporting/analytics.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers and leaders to understand workforce needs and provide practical HR support.
• Support talent acquisition activities from job profile to screening and presenting candidates.
• Assist final selection, assessments, background checks, and offers.
• Lead onboarding and orientation for new hires to ensure smooth integration.
• Support talent management, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
• Assist with performance management programs and annual reviews.
• Identify learning and development needs and support program delivery.
• Prepare and interpret HR data to provide actionable insights.
