Job description

HR Systems Specialist, Human Resources - 1 position

St. Joseph's Hospital in London, ON, is seeking a full-time HR Systems Specialist. The salary range is $47.59 - $56.00 per hour.

Job Summary: As a member of the Human Resources team, the Systems Specialist will lead the integration and enhancement of HR technology, supporting strategic goals and fostering innovation and change within the HR department and its clients.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting configuration, testing, and go-live of HR modules such as core HR, learning management, payroll, and applicant tracking systems.
  2. Developing and maintaining system documentation for upgrades and process improvements.
  3. Leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements and new software implementations.
  4. Collaborating with IT Services to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
  5. Leading quality improvement initiatives and business process redesign projects leveraging technology.
  6. Applying change management principles to support new business processes.
  7. Staying informed on emerging HR technology trends.
  8. Supporting end-user training and documentation development.
  9. Providing guidance and coaching to peers and system analysts.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a recognized Computer Science or Business degree program with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience with HR software implementation.
  • Experience with software analysis, design, development, and upgrades.
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, data analysis, and translating business needs into system specifications.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Experience in business process redesign and change management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
  • Knowledge of a Safety Culture in Healthcare and OHSA compliance.

  • Engagement in teaching and research activities as part of St. Joseph's affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College.
  • Provision of vaccination records and TB testing documentation as required.
