Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 Years experience in general HR function, including 2 Years in talent acquisition.
  • Valid Alberta Drivers Licence.
  • A CPHR designation would be an asset.

What You Will Do:

As a HR Specialist, Talent Acquisition, you will play an essential role within our Corporate Services reporting to Manager, Human Resources Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Leads the Company’s Recruitment, Selection, Onboarding, and Orientation Processes;
  • Leads the Administration of Corporate Functions and Employee Relationship Programs;
  • Guides the Job Description Editing and Approval Process; and
  • Leads the Processes Associated with Employee Resignation, Termination, and Retirement.

What You Will Bring:

Required qualifications:

  • University Degree Majoring in Human Resources or equivalent, and a
  • Registered Professional Recruiter Designation or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 Years experience in general HR function including 2 Years' experience in talent acquisition,
  • Valid Alberta Drivers Licence, and
  • A CPHR designation would be an asset.

Preferred skills and qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment law and legislation
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy, be intuitive, and be approachable
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and apply contract language
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and adhere to strict guidelines when dealing with confidential information on a regular basis
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity and ethical standards
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office 365 Suite of products
  • Experience with HRIS
  • Advanced skills with recruiting systems products or equivalent software
