Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited in Canada is seeking an experienced Sr. HR Coordinator to provide day-to-day HR support for the National Wholesale client group. You will advise on HR policies, handle employee relations, and streamline HR processes with AI-enabled tools while maintaining confidentiality.

A strong emphasis on data-driven insights and end-to-end recruitment is included. The role requires 3-5 years of HR experience, post-secondary HR education, and proficiency with HRIS (Workday preferred)

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Human Resources; designation considered an asset.
• 3-5 years of progressive HR experience in a large organization.
• Strong understanding of the employee lifecycle and HR programs.
• Strong digital literacy: Microsoft Office, HRIS (Workday preferred) and AI tools.
• Demonstrated curiosity for AI, automation and new tech in HR.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven insights.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication at all levels.
• Ability to travel to other office locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Act as a front-line HR contact for colleague and leader questions.
• Provide advice on HR policies, performance, recruitment, training, compensation.
• Support sensitive employee relations matters and escalate as needed.
• Coordinate annual HR processes like performance, compensation, engagement surveys.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition for end-to-end recruitment and onboarding.
• Roll out HR programs and HR technology adoption.
• Maintain HR data integrity and generate reports for insights.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and automate HR processes using AI.
• Use AI-enabled tools responsibly with confidentiality and oversight.
• Develop templates and workflows to reduce manual work.
• Support compensation recommendations and merit/incentive processes.
• Coordinate leaves and accommodations with internal teams.
• Resolve payroll, benefits and HR inquiries as required.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and policies.
• Assist with research, analysis and implementation of HR programs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and streamlined processes.
