Job summary

Sysco Canada is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to deliver consistent employee and labour relations support, partner with supervisors, and help implement local and regional HR programs.

The role involves recruitment, onboarding, performance coaching, benefits coordination, and HRIS data integrity, with emphasis on compliant processes and positive associate relations to drive high performance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources.
• Knowledge of Federal, Provincial and Local laws and regulations.
• Expert with MS Office Suite, HRIS programs, recruitment platforms and social media.
• HR designation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provides expertise in all functional areas of Human Resources with emphasis on employee & labour relations.
• Acts as a business partner to supervisors and managers on human resource and employee relations matters, supporting and coaching as needed to ensure compliance and consistency.
• Leverages HR knowledge to identify best practices and deliver enhancements to current programs while aligning with Sysco strategies.
• Responds to associate inquiries as per internal customer service guidelines.
• Manages recruitment and selection process, ensuring policies and legislation are followed consistently.
• Conducts new hire orientation to ensure onboarding success and communicates policies.
• Provides coaching to management regarding employee performance, productivity or behavior.
• Supports disability processes as applicable, liaising with benefits carrier.
• Assists with annual performance management processes and data tracking.
• Ensures integrity and accuracy of HRIS data.
