Job summary

AGAT Laboratories in Calgary, AB seeks a Human Resources Generalist to be the first point of contact for managers and employees, providing guidance on HR matters and supporting HR requests. The role covers recruitment, policy, analytics, and employee relations.

The candidate should have post-secondary HR education, experience in HR, strong Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Bilingual EN/FR is an asset.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field.
  • Previous work experience in Human Resources.
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
  • Proven ability to develop trusting relationships with employees and management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills; multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Experience in ADP Work Force Now considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • HR functions across AGAT operations with legal compliance.
  • Support recruitment, training, policy development and analytics.
  • Provide consultative guidance on policies and procedures and performance issues.
  • Advise employees on policies, benefits, RRSP and programs.
  • Coordinate with payroll on disability management and accommodation.
  • Uphold company core values in all HR matters.
  • Perform HR administrative tasks as required.
