Job summary

Alberta Boot Company, part of Avenue Living, seeks an experienced Human Resources Generalist to partner with leaders across retail, factory, and office teams in Calgary. You will guide the full employee lifecycle and help translate people strategy into actionable, day-to-day practices that reflect the brand and drive excellence.

Reporting to the People & Culture team, you will handle payroll support, recruitment, onboarding, HRIS updates, employee relations, and compliance with Alberta

Qualifications

• Degree/certificate in Human Resources with at least 3 years HR experience.
• Experience handling full-cycle recruitment, payroll, documentation governance, investigations, and employee support.
• Knowledge of Alberta employment legislation and workplace standards.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business operations leaders to align HR support with objectives.
• Advise leadership on payroll, recruitment, documentation governance, investigations, and employee support.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers on HR inquiries, policies, and standards.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and investigations with guidance from the People & Culture team.
• Support onboarding, HRIS updates, employee changes, and offboarding.
• Assist with benefits inquiries, leaves, accommodations, and return-to-work processes.
• Assist operations and legal with immigration documentation and employee support.
• Support recruitment efforts in partnership with operational leaders.
