Job summary

Ice River Sustainable Solutions is seeking an HR Generalist for a 14–15 month fixed-term contract. Based in Shelburne, Ontario, you will support Canadian operations with employee relations, investigations, performance management, and compliance.

You will partner with the HR Manager to deliver services across multiple provinces, travel regularly to locations, and manage leaves, attendance, onboarding, and HRIS accuracy. Hybrid work and plant travel are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in progressive HR roles with employee relations and policy compliance
• Experience supporting manufacturing or multi-site environments is preferred
• French-language ability is a strong asset
• Ontario employment law knowledge across provinces is required

Responsibilities

• Provide timely HR guidance to employees and managers across Canadian operations
• Partner with HR Manager to deliver day-to-day HR support at assigned locations
• Support employee relations, investigations, performance management, and progressive discipline
• Coach leaders through HR matters and document actions
• Coordinate leaves, disability, and return-to-work processes
• Administer attendance management and HRIS data accuracy
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation, including LMS training
• Conduct payroll/audit activities and prepare HR metrics and reports
• Support performance review processes and timely completion
• Contribute to engagement, communications, and HR programs across jurisdictions
• Maintain confidential HR documentation and compliance with privacy requirements
• Travel to Ice River locations to provide hands-on HR support
