Job summary

J.D. Irving, Limited seeks a data analyst for our Corporate Human Resources team. You will turn data into actionable insights, support analytics across HR, and help build our enterprise data foundation, including data lake development and AI-powered insights.

You will work with stakeholders to create dashboards and reports using Power BI and Alteryx, automate data flows, and promote data literacy across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of analytics, data management, or business analysis experience.
• Experience applying AI in a business context, including building or deploying AI agents.
• Experience with data lakes, data pipelines, or enterprise data platforms is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric mindset.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, and Excel.
• Ability to explain complex analytics concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and creative analytics approaches.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to translate operational challenges into data-driven solutions.
• Educate internal customers on analytics tools, data literacy, and self-service best practices.
• Support development of the enterprise data lake, including requirements and data validation.
• Manage user security and access controls for governed data access.
• Deliver analytics and reporting across Human Resources, highlighting performance and trends.
• Lead the design and deployment of AI-powered analytics capabilities and agents.
• Gather requirements and translate needs into reporting/visualization solutions.
• Design and maintain dashboards using Power BI and Alteryx.
• Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends influencing decisions.
