TRIUMF's Human Resources team is looking for a Human Resource Coordinator who will be responsible for providing ongoing support for the Student Program section of our recruitment team. The successful candidate will manage the full recruiting lifecycle for our undergraduate student roles, help managers find and hire quality candidates and onboard students to TRIUMF. This is a high-volume role, supporting all areas of the organization. The HR Coordinator applies skills in recruitment, selection, and retention and has a working knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures regarding employment practices in BC Human Rights in order to support the organization.
This position offers a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in our office.
What you will do
- Coordinate the student recruitment process with hiring managers
- Assists in developing job advertisements and postings
- Supports applicant tracking activities and arranges interviews
- Coordinate employment offers for all student positions
- Coordinate onboarding of new students and conduct first day presentation
- Assists with the overall student program at TRIUMF, including interacting with students, helping with weekly meetings and lectures
- Support student fellowship and scholarship programs
- Assist with securing funding for student programs
- Liaise with partnering institutions regarding undergrad coop programs
- Manage the student program email inbox
- Maintain student mailing lists for job postings and communication
- Work with the learning and development specialist to support the student professional development program
We’re Looking For a Person Who Has
- Exceptional organizational abilities, attention to detail, and accuracy
- Computer skills: Office365 (Excel, MS Word); Workday Recruitment
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to build and foster effective relationships
- Solid intuition and ability to quickly find solutions for intellectual, complex, and practical problems
- Ability to work independently, multi-task and meet deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Intermediate knowledge of legislations such as Employment Standards, Human Rights,
Your background and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Human Resources, Education, Humanities, or Health and Life Sciences.
- 1 – 3 years of experience
- Willingness to work towards a CPHR designation is considered an asset

$49,400.00 - $61,700.00
