HR Coordinator, Integrated Talent Management

POSITION OVERVIEW

The City of Maple Ridge is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. As Human Resources Coordinator, Integrated Talent Management, you will play a key role in supporting initiatives that enhance recruitment, training, professional development, and talent retention across the organization.

You will collaborate with HR colleagues and leadership to manage workforce planning, performance management, and employee growth. By partnering with various departments and stakeholders, you will ensure HR programs are effectively implemented, supporting both daily operations and strategic goals.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Support full-cycle recruitment activities, from job postings to offers.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure positive employee experiences.
  • Assist in talent management programs, including recruitment, development, succession planning, and performance reviews.
  • Support the coordination and delivery of employee training sessions, including scheduling and tracking.
  • Help develop training materials and resources for employee growth.
  • Assist Advisors in addressing talent gaps and identifying development opportunities.
  • Track recruitment metrics and prepare reports to inform decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring data privacy and security.
  • Compile and analyze HR reports, including turnover, demographics, and KPIs.
  • Recommend and develop improved HR procedures for efficiency.
  • Support HR projects, including diversity, inclusion, and wellness initiatives.
  • Perform other HR duties as assigned by the HR Manager or Director.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
  • Understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment legislation.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build effective relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, and collective agreements.
  • Experience in preparing reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • High level of customer service skills.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Certificate or diploma in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • CPHR designation preferred.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This is a temporary full-time position for 24 months, with potential extension.
