Job description

We are looking for an efficient Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. You will facilitate daily HR functions like keeping track of employees records and supporting the interview process. Your role, also, involves performing tasks with a focus to grow our company’s talent pipeline and improve outsourcing tactics.

The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. He / She will be able to work autonomously. Ultimately, you should be able to contribute to the attainment of specific goals and results of the HR department and the organization. This is a maternity leave contract for approximately 14 months in length. Our client is located in Brampton and is a logistics and transportation company.

Remote? Yes, 100% remote

Hours : Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm OR 8:30am - 5:30pm

Duration : Maternity leave contract (14 months)

Responsibilities :

  1. Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
  2. Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates, etc.) in both paper and digital formats and ensure all employment requirements are met
  3. Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits, etc.)
  4. Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts, etc.
  5. Assist supervisors in performance management procedures
  6. Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events, etc., and maintain the team’s agenda
  7. Perform orientations, onboarding, and update records with new hires
  8. Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
  9. Support other functions as assigned

  1. Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position
  2. Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
  3. Ability to work with ATS software and HRIS systems knowledge
  4. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Ability to handle data with confidentiality
  6. Good organizational and time management skills
  7. Diploma / Degree in Human Resources
