Job summary

Fountain Tire in Edmonton is seeking a motivated Human Resources Co-op Student for a January–April 2027 term with potential to extend. The successful candidate will support the HR Department at our South Edmonton Corporate Head Office.

You will work with the HR team on recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, and total rewards, gaining practical experience across HR functions and processes.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Human Resources-focused degree program at a recognized post-secondary institution.
• Positive attitude, optimistic outlook and willingness to learn.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt and manage changing priorities.
• Proven computer skills including using MS Excel at a proficient level.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work efficiently individually, as well as in a team.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Preparing job postings.
• Screening and distributing resumes.
• Pre-screening and interviewing candidates.
• Preparing offer documents.
• Supporting the 2027 Engagement Survey roll out, reporting, and action planning.
• Completing a salary survey & compiling salary data.
• Assisting with the Service Awards process.
• Intranet content development.
• General HR support: employment verification letters, filing, research, responding to associate questions.
• Other project work as required.
