Fall 2025 Work Term
  • Term Length: 4 months
  • Term Start: September 8, 2025
  • Term End: December 19, 2025

As of October 15, 2024, Loblaw has adopted a hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 1 day a week, with the other 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit).

Role Overview: As an HR Co-Op Student, you will support various HR initiatives and provide administrative support, acting as first-level support to HR Business Partners and assisting with HR activities and projects across Loblaw Corporate.

What You'll Do:
  1. Data validation in Workday for compliance and people objectives
  2. Gather data and perform detailed analysis of development plans, exit interviews, training, and ad hoc reporting
  3. Resolve payroll inquiries, update colleague information in Workday, and submit IT tickets as required
  4. Review headcount, track, and update organizational charts
  5. Revamp onboarding and training guides, prepare announcements for new hires
  6. Support colleague engagement surveys: reporting, scorecarding, presentations, participation updates, analysis, and recommendations
  7. Support talent review processes by taking notes, updating talent grids, and preparing files for leadership review
  8. Assist with training sessions, note-taking, analysis, and follow-up
  9. Support research, analysis, and implementation of HR programs and initiatives
  10. Research and plan team-building and recognition events as part of Blue Culture activities
  11. Perform administrative tasks such as reporting, photocopying, filing, booking rooms
  12. Continue education through e-learning, workshops, and seminars
What You'll Need:
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or working towards HR Management Certification
  • Ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels
  • Strong integrity and confidentiality skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Understanding of databases and reporting tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Customer focus and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
