Job description

Job Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Manager - QA, the successful co-op student will verify and measure incoming parts flagged for inspection to ensure company standards are met and specifications match engineering drawings. The student will also work with team members on calibrating shop equipment.

Work Term: Fall 2025 (Sept - Dec)

Work Arrangement: Day Shift, On-Site, 5 days per week

Responsibilities
  • Approve finished products for shipment through visual verification, mechanical inspection, and electrical testing
  • Calibrate mechanical and electrical measuring equipment
  • Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving as needed
  • Read and interpret part and assembly drawings
  • Collaborate with assemblers and production personnel on quality inspections
  • Record and maintain inspection and calibration records
  • Collect and summarize quality reports monthly
Qualifications
  • Pursuing a degree/diploma in Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineering or Quality Assurance
  • Available for a 4-month co-op work term in Fall 2025
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Keen interest in design and manufacturing
  • Manufacturing experience is an asset
