About the Position: CTH is looking for a full time HR Business Partner (HRBP). Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources, the successful candidate is a key contributor to the organization and will be responsible for processing and leading all HR deliverables, as they align to the overall strategic plan. The HR Business Partner is a Coordinator level role, and will be responsible for direct supervision of HR staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all 360 o recruitment efforts, including continuous collaboration with Hiring Managers.
  • Review turnover and retention data and make retention plan recommendations to the Senior Manager, HR.
  • Review, and stay current on all applicable provincial legislations: Alberta Employment Standards, Alberta Human Rights, Occupational Health and Safety and Canada Revenue Agency, and recommend internal policy and process changes.
  • Mitigate any disability claim concerns with a third-party provider.
  • Lead innovative efforts in HR service delivery and HR related system applications for continuous staff satisfaction.
  • Educate staff and demonstrate expertise on all HR policies, procedures, systems and best practices, so they are followed consistently throughout the organization.
  • As an Employee Relations liaison, the HRBP will be responsible for front-line staff ER concern intakes, take part in ER investigations, providing a recommendation for solutions in collaboration with the Senior Manager, HR.
  • Work closely with the Training, Payroll, IT and Program departments to ensure high quality onboarding of new staff.
  • Support Managers and Coordinators in workforce planning, change management, employee relations, and employee retention.
  • Foster and build trusting relationships within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in HR or related field is required. A successful candidate must have at least 3 years of HR experience. A combination of education and experience may also be considered.
  • CPHR designation or in progress of CPHR Chartered Status will be considered an asset.
  • Highly skilled HR Representative with a broad range of experience in Recruitment, HR Compliance, Benefits Administration, Disability Management, HR Reporting, and Employee Relations.
  • HRBP must have the utmost confidentiality, and their approach involves critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Must also be highly organized in order to manage multiple priorities.
  • HRBP requires excellent communication skills and work with other departments to ensure the highest employee satisfaction levels.
  • In addition, the HRBP must be passionate about the principles and philosophy of Closer to Home and believe strongly in the mission and vision of the organization.
