Overview

HR Business Partner – Generalist & Technical Recruiter role at Remarcable. This hybrid position supports Vancouver, BC, Canada (on-site) and focuses on HR generalist duties alongside technical recruiting to attract engineering and product talent.

Base pay range : CA$80,000.00 / yr - CA$90,000.00 / yr. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities
  • HR Generalist Functions: Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related questions, policies, and procedures; manage the full lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, leave management, and HRIS updates; support employee relations with empathy and professionalism; ensure compliance with BC and Canadian employment legislation; assist in designing and implementing company-wide HR initiatives; maintain and evolve HR policies and handbooks; coordinate employee events, recognition programs, and culture initiatives; analyze HR metrics to guide people decisions; partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless business processes.
  • Technical Recruiting Responsibilities: Own and execute full-cycle technical recruiting for engineering, product, and other technical roles; partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and recruiting strategies; source passive and active candidates using platforms such as LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and Ashby; manage candidate pipelines, interview scheduling, and communication to ensure an exceptional candidate experience; build and maintain a network of potential future hires; contribute to employer branding strategies; stay current on industry trends to inform recruitment strategy.
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources with strong generalist exposure
  • 2+ years of proven experience recruiting for technical roles (e.g., software engineers, product managers, DevOps)
  • Strong practical knowledge of Canadian and British Columbia employment laws and HR practices
  • Ability to work strategically and tactically in a fast-paced, startup or SMB environment
  • Skilled in managing HR operations including onboarding, benefits, compliance, and employee relations
  • Exceptional communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and service-oriented
  • Familiarity with HR and recruiting tools (e.g., BambooHR, Ashby, ADP, LinkedIn Recruiter)
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field; CPHR designation and / or technical recruiting certifications preferred
