Job summary

Domtar is seeking a Human Resources Advisor at our Skookumchuck, British Columbia site to provide HR support to assigned departments, assist with recruitment, onboarding, and HR reporting. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will maintain accurate HR information and ensure processes run smoothly.

You will advise managers and employees on HR matters, coordinate return-to-work activities, collaborate with Corporate HR, payroll, benefits, and pension providers, and help develop and communicate HR

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or diploma in HR or business administration.
• CHRP designation is an asset.
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of provincial and federal HR legislation.
• Strong communication, organization and computer skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support to assigned departments and recruitment support to department hiring managers.
• Maintain accurate HR information and HR systems; draft reports and correspondence.
• Coordinate return-to-work activities with workers' compensation or weekly indemnity processes.
• Lead new employee onboarding and integration processes.
• Advise managers, supervisors and employees on HR matters.
• Collaborate with Corporate HR, payroll, benefits, pension, and other service providers.
• Develop and communicate HR business processes, policies and programs.
• Update employee records with changes to maintain data integrity.
