Job Description

Reporting to the HR Manager, Operations, the HR Administrator (Operations) handles various administrative functions to support the HR Operations team and, when needed, the HR Policies and Programs team.

  1. Recruitment and onboarding logistics (hourly and salaried)
  2. Drafting employee letters (changes, contract extensions, LOAs)
  3. Updating Cornerstone with new employees, changes, and departures
  4. Offboarding administrative logistics
  5. Conducting cross-system data audits for accuracy and consistency
  6. Researching courses and training opportunities
  7. Assisting with job posting creation
  8. Compiling reports
  9. Maintaining an HR calendar for Operations
  10. Assisting with presentation creation
  11. Filing documents and emails as needed
  12. Assisting in collecting exit interview data
  13. Completing government job vacancy surveys
  14. Managing records retention strategies
Qualifications
  1. 1-3 years of relevant work experience in clerical or administrative roles
  2. HR admin experience and/or related education/diploma preferred
  3. Excellent attention to detail
  4. Clear verbal and written communication skills
  5. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  6. Effective communication with all organizational levels
  7. Resourcefulness in handling unexpected issues and process improvements
  8. Decision-making skills with appropriate escalation
  9. Adaptability to new software
  10. Exceptional organizational skills

This position may be based in Calgary or Edmonton.
